A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to nonexistent email addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from buddies or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all mailbox effortlessly if you have a cloud hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet exceptionally simple to work with, and it will allow you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be shown alphabetically in this section and to the right of each of them you will find a small "Catch-all" button. Clicking it once will activate this option, clicking on it twice will deactivate it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got another one with this option enabled or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all feature can be enabled without any effort if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domains hosted in the account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll notice a tiny icon handily situated directly next to each one of them. With only a single click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate the feature through the menu that will pop up. In case any of the conditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will inform you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
